Staying warm and staying fresh

On a recent shopping spree, I went mad with power. I got some fun stuff and a ton of sweaters.

This is one of the outfits I came away with. Both sweater and skirt are from H&M and those tights are from New Look. Oh how I miss London so…those tights are honestly perfection. I adore thigh highs, but my only problem is that they fall down a lot. Guess I walk a bit too vigorously.

Anywho, one of my fav outfits for sure. And I'm a huge advocate of not necessarily needing to mute the entire wardrobe just because it gets dark earlier, you feel me?

And yeah I was mid sip in this picture, but tis the season for warm beverages!

I have been absent

MY FAULT. All my fault. I am seriously making an early New Year's resolution to be better about this blogging.

However, can I just say that I witnessed my first bit of snowfall today!! It was magical, in the sense that fancy water was falling from the sky and into my eye. But it was quite pretty.

So sweater weather (has been) and is upon us!

Here is my look of today, very warm and simple.

Got the sweater from the Aqua line at Bloomingdale's and the pants are from Urban Outfitters. My boots are my trooper combat boots, which have honestly been with me through thick and thin for nearly a year now. Steve Madden and one of my best buys ever.

Hey that's my face, closer. Dunno if you can see the bits of detail on the shoulder, but they're zippers and adds a lil something something to the sweater in my opinion. It's cosy and cashmere.

If I could marry cashmere, I would.

And this was my lovely winter's day. It was actually snowing while I took this picture, but you know how falling snow is, so self-conscious.

So sorry again for no update recently. But it shall change…I err…hope.

To My Best Friend

So my best friend left to travel the world last week. Her first stop: Italy (living her dream of working on a farm/vineyard in Florence), then she's off the Sri Lanka.

She's absolutely crazy in the best possible way.

I miss her so much already so here's a throwback to a photo shoot we did together this summer.

This is the lovely Janelle.

I did her styling and her hair for this shoot. Don't be afraid to mix it up and throw on random pieces. Clothes sometimes have a mind of their own, and when they want to work, they will.

I think she is absolutely radiant. She has an amazing soul and spirit. I am so privileged to call her my best friend.

And here's me lol. I love love love this outfit I got in London (from New Look to be exact) and I paired it with my faux Converse platform sneakers. I was digging a pin-up vibe.

Sigh, I miss my long hair --- especially with the ombre.

Our looks were very different, but that doesn't stop us from getting in front of the camera together.

So very serious.

So very typical.

All in all this was a shout out to my pining for my best friend. Return soon my love! And stay safe!

New City.

Well I am back after suffering the woes of moving!

I'm now in a brand new city: New York!

I've had to leave my lovely London behind for now and focus on schooling here.

But the fashion continues!

I've been ridiculously busy with moving, starting classes, and joining every club under the sun basically, so sadly I haven't been taking photos like I usually do.

But! I do have a few to share

I was digging an urban vibe. I adore my dark red jean vest. I threw a little white crop top underneath and paired it with my tribal skirt! Sadly I do not have long shot, but I paired this with my black knee highs and staple combat boots (I really should've brought more shoes).

This was near the Hudson. My lovely friend and photographer, Hannah, snapped this and dug it in black and white.

And last picture! I'm an ocean girl...attached to my city girl label. The smell of salt water is good for the soul, doncha think?

I seriously will try to update more frequently!

LaLaLa-Los Angeles

So I visited my bro this summer in one of my favorite cities: LA!

No only did I do an abundance of bonding, sight-seeing, and meeting some pretty cool people, but of course I also shopped.

Haven't posted any pics of the trip, but here are some of my favorite pics

The lights at the LACMA are always amazing to me (and the very girly part of me takes note of the No Strings Attached reference...yah yah I know).

Got this cute little crop top and cardigan at Windsor when I went out to Long Beach for the weekend (yay for shopping with my soon-to-be sister-in-law!)

And this was from one of my favorite little hangouts on the broski's apartment roof. If the camera was a bit more to the right, you'd see the Hollywood sign (uh huh I can be a tourist...sue me).

This dress is one of my favorite new possessions from Bloomingdale's. Such a cute sundress

Beachin' Styles

Summer, summer

You've come and gone so fast.

But bathing suits, crop tops, and pimped out shorts are still the norm!

So I just got back! My girls and I spent the weekend at the beach apartment where we had the perfect combo of naps in the sunshine, splashes in the ocean, and good ol' girly time.

The frill bathing suits have been popping up all over the place and I had to get in on that. Rocked this VS bathing suit on the first day:

Don't you hate it when your body can look great in your opinion when you're no where near going to the beach, but then as soon as you hit the sand...you don't know what you were ever thinking?

Oh insecurities.

But other than that I loved my out fit of choice for the second day! Rockin a retro sarong with my white crop top

Finally, my favorite evening outfit of the weekend: my chill boho ensemble

You can see three of my gorgeous best friends with me.

So what can I say, life is good and if anything I've learned to be more comfortable with myself (roaming free in bikinis for 4 days straight can do that to ya)

Film Adventures!

So I'm taking a film class this fall and I didn't want to be rusty sooooo

My best friend, Mikey, and I decided to document our usual outing last night.

Did I rough edit just to remind myself of the process and I used my little Canon PowerShot S95 for the filming.

It's always fun to play with color...

I love summer! Because this is when you break out the fun colors.

I mean if you ask anyone (particularly my momma) you'll know that I adore the classic black & white, especially with red accents (dur it's my favorite color)

But summer is here and with that comes the bright poppin colors! Crop tops and shorts galore!!!!!

Throw some flowers in your hair and be one with (artificial or actual) nature

And never forget to accessorize...I usually have a gold or silver theme running with my outfits (including my amazing ring collection that I have recently added to! ~ more on this soon)

But I hope everyone is enjoying their summers and take a peak and this style I rocked at the beach

Meep! So sorry I haven't updated in a while. I received some terrible news a few days ago and I've been trying to cope.

But the fashion shall continue...

I really loved this outfit because I felt all artsy with my hat and flowy shirt.

It was mainly a black and white focus, which I've been very into as of late. Seriously give me black and white with a splash of red (my fav color) and I am a happy camper.

SO I have news.

I'm actually leaving for my spring break tonight and I might be on sporadic update for the next two weeks.

I feel terrible since I was MIA for the past couple days :x

What's the Crack?

Happy St. Patty's Day lovelies!!

I haven't been feeling well the past few days sadly. I'm starting to feel a bit better, but I'm still no 100%

But I need to be soon...SPRING BREAK IS COMING!!!!

Anyway, one of my roomz, Maddie, decided to go crazy with the green and since I had to go out with her in public, I thought maybe I wouldn't wear my all green dress. But I was a bit out of options because I don't really own green...whoops.

So yay!!!! For this subtle green babydoll thing.

I also borrowed Maddie's sweatshirt. She's got soooo much green, you'd mistake her for Kermit the Frog...

Sorry... bad joke.

I'll make up for it with this stoopid face....Nah it's just stupid..."Stoopid" alludes to it being cool.

Hamsa Peace

I love this sweater quite a lot.

I hated having to wear a jacket over it actually...but you know...warmth.

So yes I went out with my friends to Primark and did a little Spring Break shopping...weeeee!

Afterwards we had a lovely meal at BK...yee! So good :) Out of the 4 of us only me and Hannah decided we were cool enough to get a crown.

Casual Dining

If you're sometimes a bum like me who spends her free day in bed, you'll know how painful it is to actually haul yourself out and get dressed...

Well I had to go out to dinner with the parents of one of my flatmates (who I was happy to meet...they were very lovely) [sidenote: the other flatmates were there too...it wasn't an awkward meet the parents kind of thing]

Anywho! I'm a lazy bum.

So we weren't going anyway fancy so I just threw on this casual look. Dark skinny jeans have become my savior when it comes to lazy going out clothes.

I haven't worn this sweater since before Christmas break...I missed it dearly :'(

I was very well fed that night :D Yay parents! T'was a very nice evening.

Oh Ice Cream

Remember that time it was once warm in London?

Seems like ages ago.

But I managed to have a nice treat of mint-choco chip ice cream from Patisserie Valerie (yummyy!)

I went for a more casual look...under my bulky coat (it really was quite warm, but I take precautions because I am horrible when I'm cold)

I love love love these pants. Really I do.

Warm Days

How I miss you.

The other day in London...the weather was absolutely amazing. I wish I could say it stayed that way though

I managed to take a few pics on the street in the lovely weather.

I decided to embrace the time where I only had to wear 1 pair of tights and no jacket!

It was even sunny enough for me to wear sunglasses!

If only this weather lasted more than 36 hours.

I literally had about 5 minutes to choose what to wear for a video my friend was filming...and voila!

I chose the cardy first then the shirt and my roomz, Maddie, chose the pants. Very simple

This is a bit more preppy, I think, but then again who am I to say...maybe it's just because the cardy reminds me of something a preppy jock would wear in the 60s...

My hurr is large and in charge...well maybe just large -.-

I went to the British Music Experience...so amazing!!

I thought I'd spruce up the outfit with a pair of cosmic leggings that my bebs, Andre, gave me for Christmas...

And I did a low side ponytail, which I really like with this look :)
